Finance Pupil’s mission is to simplify personal finance concepts and learnings for readers so they can take action and build habits.
Fellow pupils,
I’m John, the creator of Finance Pupil.
I created Finance Pupil for a simple reason – I wanted to distill personal finance knowledge into key takeaways to help others make informed financial decisions and take action in building their desired future.
A few years ago, I was extremely insecure about money. I had a good job and a good salary. This insecurity about money shouldn’t have existed. However, I was living paycheck to paycheck, and it seemed like everyone around me had more financial wherewithal.
I thought maybe my observation is just wrong. I thought maybe others make more money. I avoided facing my insecurities until I had an honest conversation with a good friend of mine. He showed me that I indeed did not have my financials under control.
Acknowledging that I had a problem pushed me on a journey. I dove deep into the personal finance world, talked to financial experts, and read tons of finance literature. I made changes and built habits. I am now more confident. More importantly, I am at peace.
I cannot thank my friend enough for pushing me on this path. I want to pay it forward and help those who are looking to get on this path too.
From my experience, I believe achieving the desired financial future is more than just money. Mindset, health, and relationships all play a critical role in this transformation.
While I have come a long way since living paycheck-to-paycheck, I continue learning, experimenting, and improving every day. Finance Pupil packages all of these learnings so you can come up to speed faster and stronger (instead of going through long, repetitive financial literacy courses or personal finance books). I hope this blog becomes your intro to personal finance!
I’m excited to share these insights with you through this personal finance blog for beginners, and I hope you find actionable ideas to help you on your journey.
Let’s do this.
John
